Teri Peterson Bio
Teri Peterson is a watercolor painter and professional photographer who lives in Wisconsin. Her colorful paintings most often express the beauty found in nature. Her distinctive personal style in watercolor is mildly impressionistic while her photography captures nature in realism.
As the artist explains, “I am a story teller and welcome you to join on this visual journey.”
Early in her career Peterson received awards and acknowledgements for her innate talent with watercolors. She’s trained with fine artists such as; Phyllis Doyon, Katherine Chang Liu, Tom Fong and Franklyn Liegle. Her artworks are in collection Internationally.
Peterson’s artwork has been shown in exhibitions in Southern California and Wisconsin. One of her paintings was juried and featured for the City of Ventura Art Walk. The selected piece was published for print and promotion for the event. Peterson has also illustrated 3 books for poet P.C. Moorehead; "Conversations with Iris", "Icicle and the Ornament", and "Gatherings".
She is presently a member of the Pewaukee Area Arts Council, Pewaukee, WI. She has coordinated and facilitated community art shows, served on the Merton Town Hall Library Art Committee and Gardens of the World in Thousand Oaks, CA and twice served as a juror for California Strawberry Art Festival in Ventura, CA.
